Holm Select was born out of two family-owned farming companies – M. F. Martin Ltd and Bedlam Farms. For three generations both companies have been at the forefront of farming in the Fens, and a few years ago the decision was taken to bring the produce of these Martin family businesses together under the name Holm Select – holm being a traditional word for fen and one that accurately represents our values: traditional farming on the fens.

Our expansive 1600 acres traditionally harvested potatoes, onions, sugar beet and combinable crops. Recently, we have taken a change in direction in terms of both produce and ethos.

In 2006 we made the decision to convert 500 acres into an area for producing organic fruit and vegetables and to plant a 14-acre field of blueberries. The organic production specialises in field vegetables, focusing predominantly on asparagus.

Today, as organic vegetable suppliers, we are proud of the steps we are taking towards organic farming in the Fens.

Our organic produce is certified by Organic Farmers & Growers, and all our conventional crops are fully assured to supermarket specifications.
